Embed mini apps in your memos. First up: Split bills

Put features inside your everyday memo

The memo editor toolbar now has a "Mini apps" button. Embed a split bill in an itinerary or a crowd status board in an event guide. Data lives in the mini app, so the standalone page and the memo always show the same content.

• Insert existing data or create new data without leaving the memo
• Add payments and tick off settlements right inside the memo
• Published memos show viewer-only content with no recording or editing buttons
• Deleting a mini app keeps the memo text intact and shows "deleted"

The first mini app: Split bills

Record members and payments and see who pays whom with the fewest transfers. Split equally, choose who shares, or set custom amounts; remainders are adjusted automatically. Press "Settled" after handing over the money and the balances update.

• By default anyone with the URL can record payments (managers-only is available)
• Supports 8 currencies including JPY, USD and EUR
• Premium can restrict management to specific Google accounts

Crowd status boards in memos too

The recently released crowd status board can also be embedded as a mini app. Show live conditions inside an event memo, and update them from the memo on devices that hold the management URL.
