Memotto (the "Service") regards the protection of users' personal information as an important responsibility and handles such information in accordance with the following policy.
Information We Collect
- Memo content, titles, body, tags, etc. of public memos (text entered and published by Users)
- Sender information (IP address, user agent, and timestamp at the time of publication)
- Access logs and other information necessary for operations
Purpose of Use
- Providing, maintaining, and protecting the Service (real-time sync, backup, etc.)
- Quality improvement, fraud prevention, and trouble response
- Responses based on the Act on the Limitation of Liability for Damages of Specified Telecommunications Service Providers and the Right to Demand Disclosure of Identification Information of the Senders (the Provider Liability Limitation Act)
Storage and Disclosure of Sender Information (Provider Liability Limitation Act)
The Service records and stores the IP address, user agent, and timestamp at the time of memo publication for the purpose of responding to disclosure requests for sender information under the Provider Liability Limitation Act.
- Information stored: IP address, user agent, and publication timestamp
- Retention period: up to 1 year from publication (longer if required by law)
- Except in response to a court order or other lawful disclosure request, we do not provide this information to third parties

Provision to Third Parties
Except where required by law (including responses to disclosure requests for sender information), we will not provide personal information to third parties without the user's consent.
Data Storage
Content and logs are stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure. When a User deletes a public memo, the body of the memo is deleted immediately. Sender information logs are deleted after the retention period described above.
Content Moderation
The operator of the Service may unpublish public memos in order to prevent leakage of personal information, protect privacy, or address other violations of the Terms of Service. When a memo is unpublished, a notice will be displayed on its edit page. For inquiries regarding unpublishing, please contact us via the contact form.
Use of Cookies, etc.
We use the browser's session storage to improve convenience. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
