Record who paid for what on trips, dinners and group purchases, and we calculate who pays whom. Everyone checks the same URL, and you can embed it in a Memotto memo.
How it looks inside a memo
Enter who paid how much and we calculate each share, each balance, and the settlement with the fewest transfers. The working is shown alongside so anyone can check it.
Enter payer, amount, description and date. Split equally, choose who shares, or set custom amounts per person.
See a plan such as "Alex pays Blake $30" with the minimum number of transfers, then tick each one off as it is paid.
Place the split bill inside an itinerary or organizer memo. The standalone page and the memo always show the same state.
No app to install and no account to create. Create it, share the URL and start right away.
Name the trip or dinner and add the members. Choose a currency such as JPY, USD or EUR.
Whoever paid enters the amount and what it was for. If everyone with the URL can record, nothing has to be collected by the organizer.
Transfer money as listed under "Who pays whom", then mark each as settled. When every balance is zero, you are done.
Designed for situations where several people pay at different times.
Rental cars, hotels, meals and tickets are paid by different people each time. Embed the split bill in the itinerary memo to keep plans and payments on one page.
Different people paid at the first and second venue? Calculate it all at the end, and exclude anyone who did not attend.
Record bulk buys or subscription shares with custom amounts per person when the split is uneven.
Record advances for supplies and venues and settle monthly or per event. Keep the management URL separate so anyone can record but only organizers change settings.
Each member's net is "paid minus owed". Members with a negative net transfer to members with a positive net. When an equal split does not divide evenly, the remainder is carried one unit at a time from the top of the member list.
Example: Alex pays $30 and Blake pays $6, shared equally by three people, so each owes $12. Alex is +$18, Blake is −$6 and Casey is −$12, so two transfers finish it: Casey → Alex $12 and Blake → Alex $6.
No. Create a split bill in the browser and share the URL. Signing in with Google lets you open your split bills from other devices.
You choose at creation. "Anyone with the URL" lets anyone who opens the shared URL record; "Managers only" limits recording to people with the management URL.
Insert it from "Add a mini app" in the memo toolbar and the balances and settlement plan appear inside the memo. The standalone page and the memo use the same data, so updates in either place match.
Creating, sharing and settling split bills is free. Premium lets you restrict the management page to specific Google accounts.
Free, no sign-up. Create it, share the URL and everyone sees the same state.
